Monday, May 01, 2017Currituck Road in Newtown. She was born in Danbury on January 5, 1990 a daughter of Alain J. Schulz of Newtown and Donna (Gugliemetti) Schulz of Southbury. Jackie was a mother to a beautiful four-year-old boy, Cayden Richard Bias-Schulz. She is also survived by two sisters, Kasey and Erica both of Newtown; several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends. Jackie graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in business marketing from Western Connecticut State University. She was employed as an expediter at Kimchuk in Danbury. Jackie loved her son Cayden more than anything in the world. They were inseparable. She held family near to her heart. She was very passionate about motorcycles, photography, tattoos, gardening, and crafts. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown Friday April 28, 2017 from 4:00-7:00pm. Monday, February 27, 2017Southbury, CT Marcella Anne (O’Connor) Burns, 100, the widow of Thomas Francis Burns, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2017.Marcella was born in Fort Madison, Iowa on January 16, 1917, where she resided until her marriage, when she moved to Naugatuck. Marcella was a former communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, and a past member of the Naugatuck Council of Catholic Women. For approximately 25 years, Marcella was a fifth grade teacher at Central Avenue School in Naugatuck, and she took great pride in the success of her students. Retirement gave her the opportunity to pursue a new love, gardening, which was introduced to her by the Naugatuck Gardening Club, where she served as club secretary. Marcella was an avid reader and served as the secretary for Friends of the Howard Whittemore Memorial Library. Monday, December 12, 2016SOUTHBURY, CT — State and local police are investigating after a deceased body was found in a parking lot at the Heritage Hotel and Conference Center Monday, according to State Police. State Police spokeswoman Kelly Grant said the Southbury Police Department responded to the Heritage Hotel at 8:15 a.m. Monday to investigate an untimely death. The location is at 522 Heritage Road.Police found a 2010 Kia Soul and inside was David Keefe, 50, who was dead, State Police said. The incident remains under investigation and the Connecticut Medical Examiner's Office will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The battle between Trump and the CIA escalates. More Cabinet appointments. The age-old debate: Should you warm up your car on a cold day? State Police said there is no sign of foul play at this time. This is a breaking news story. Donaldson of Woodbury is from Carpino Funeral Home, Southbury, CT:Woodbury- Mr. Gary Franklin Donaldson, 71, of Woodbury, died Saturday, September 10th at River Glen Health Care Center in Southbury. He was predeceased by his wife Mary Dunlap Donaldson.Mr. Donaldson was born May 8, 1945 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, son of the late Edward and Isabelle (Gallagher) Donaldson. He immigrated to the United States in 1964 and graduated from Western Connecticut State University, where he was a four-year starter for the varsity soccer team. He received his M.A. in History from Trinity College in Hartford, CT and taught in the Danbury School System for 35 years. During his 22-year tenure as Coach of the Danbury High School Boys Soccer Team, they won 3 state championships and numerous division and conference titles. He was named state Coach of the Year three times, and received the Connecticut Soccer Coaches Association Special Coaches Award in 2000. She was the loving wife of the late Richard G. Leonard and had previously resided in Naugatuck and Beacon Falls. Margery was born in Waterbury on June 28, l922, the daughter of the late William and Blanche Brennan. She was a graduate of Naugatuck High School, New Haven State Teachers College and Yale University where she earned her Masters of Arts Degree. Margery taught in Southbury and Beacon Falls before raising her family and pursuing her long and successful career as a writer and theater critic. As a child, Margery became fascinated with theater, attending plays at the Shubert and in New York City with her aunt. This led to her passion to attend and review Broadway shows and other productions in New York and in London.
