Canton Center, beloved husband of Lucy (Pasciolla) Royer, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, at Hartford Hospital.He was born Oct. 3, 1937, in Winsted, son of the late Leo Joseph and Anna May (Dolinsky) Royer and had lived in Canton for the past 56 years. He was a graduate of the University of Connecticut, School of Pharmacy, Class of 1959, having received his Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy.Ronald had served in the Army National Guard for many years. Mr. Royer Owned and Operated the Suffield Pharmacy for 21 years prior to his retirement from Stop & Shop Pharmacy in Enfield in 2004.In addition to his career, he took time to volunteer as a Boy Scout leader. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Collinsville and had enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing and golfing. He also enjoyed gardening. He and his wife traveled extensively in retirement, but his true passion was the time spent on Deering Lake in New Hampshire, with his family and very close friends.Besides his loving wife of 56 years, he is survived by his four children, Phillip Royer and his wife, Nancy, of Canton, Kathy Battista and her husband, David, of Medfield, Mass., Kenneth...

Waterbury, CT Patricia Tata, 68, died peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Abbott Terrace Health Center.Patricia was born on July 24, 1947 in Winsted, CT a daughter of the late Eugene and Edna (Pomeroy) Tata. She was raised in Waterbury, having graduated from Wilby High School, Class of 1965 and had lived in Naugatuck for the past 20 years. She was a former manager at Freihofer’s Bakery Thrift Store, where she had worked for many years and was a member of the Waterbury Baptist Ministries. Patricia is survived by her daughter, Celeste Tatler of Gilbert, AZ; her sons, Mike Humphrey and his wife Shannon of Middlebury, CT and Jeffrey Humphrey and his wife Julie of Wahoo, NE; her sister, Eileen LaFreniere and her husband Henry of Waterbury; her brothers, William Tata and his wife Doris of Plainville, CT and Thomas Tata of Waterbury; her grandchildren, whom she adored, Scott Hodgkinson, Jr., twins Kyle and Christopher Hodgkinson of AZ, Jace and Jade Humphrey of Plainville, twins Max and Luke Humphrey of Middlebury and several nieces and nephews.Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Thursday, June 30, 2016 a...
