She was a native of Charlotte, NC and had lived in Middleburg for the past 26 years coming from Nashville, TN. Barbara was raised in Putnam County and was a 1978 graduate of Palatka High School. She worked as a CNA at Pine Crest Manor ALF in Middleburg for many years. She loved all animals especially horses and dogs.She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Jean Noble. She is survived by her sons, Justin Hampton (Paulette) of Middleburg and Daniel Moseley of Orange Park, brother, Charles “Chuck” Noble of Ft. McCoy, sisters, Karen Gilbert (Walter) of Salt Springs and Bonnie Thomas (Johnny) of Palatka, grandchildren, Rayleigh Williams and Tatun “Tate” Moseley and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services were held Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka. Amy was always thinking of others and believed in helping anyone she could.Her vibrant friendly smile could brighten anyone’s day. She was able to strike conversation with just about anybody just by smiling and saying a friendly hello. If that didn’t work she would always have a stick of gum or piece of candy in her purse to offer them, and that surely put a smile on their face. Murfreesboro, TN and Rebecca Emily Hall of W. Columbia, S.C. Great-grandchild Sterling Keith Mimbs of Murfreesboro, TN. Brothers Glenn Mimbs (Connie) of Romeoville, IL and Billy Mimbs of Palatka, FL. And numerous nieces and nephews. Donald was a retired Navy Chaplain and Presbyterian Minister serving churches in Sparta and Kernersville, NC after his Navy retirement. He enjoyed reading, traveling and visiting family. He was past president of Shoals Chapter of MOAA of Florence, AL and a member of the American Legion Post 31, Tuscumbia, AL. He was involved with many civic activities such as Hospice of Alexander county, Kernersville Lions Club, Kernersville YMCA Board of Directors and volunteered with the Kernersville Crises Control, all of Kernersville, NC. He was also in the Sparta Lions Club, Sparta, NC. He attended McCormick Theological Seminary for his DMin., Chicago, IL, Southeastern Baptist Seminary for his MDiv., Wake Forest, NC. Florida Southern College, Lakeland, FL earning his BA. He certified as Intentional Interim and earned a certificate in clinical pastoral education at NC Baptist Hospital, Winston-Salem, NC. The family would like to express a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and Gentiva Home Health for their care. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Choir Scholarship Fund, 1520 Rickwood Rd, Florence, AL 35630.
