Norbert served in the United States Navy during World War II as an Aviation Machinists Mate Third Class.On November 24, 1947, he was united in marriage to Camilla Hunke at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey. Norbert was engaged in farming until his retirement in 1980. The couple moved to Cottonwood, AZ, where he was a member of the Elk’s organization. In 2004, Norbert suffered his first stroke and they returned to West Point in 2007.Norbert was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, American Legion Post #70, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #4912, Knights of Columbus Council #2272, and Catholic Order of Foresters. He and Camilla enjoyed traveling and took many trips over seas. Norbert enjoyed watching all sports and completing crossword puzzles.Norb is survived by his wife Camilla of West Point, brothers Vic and wife Irene of Council Bluffs, IA, Florin and wife Sally of Loveland, CO, Virgil of West Point, and Edwin and Lorraine of West Point; sisters in law-Marie Kampschneider of Dodge, Luetta Evert of West Point, Bernice Johnson of Enid, OK, and Lorraine Hunke of Ft. Collins, CO.He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Wilma Wellman, brother Joe, sister in law Marlane Schlautman, and in laws-Elaine and Joel Aschoff, Leander Hunke, Alvin Hunke, Marvin Kampschneider, Eugene Evert, and Joe Johnson.
Monday, March 13, 2017Nancy G. McGraw and her husband Terry McGraw of Darien, CT. She also leaves grandchildren Shane, Chad and Travis Goodrich, Kate Day (Adam), Ryan Goodrich (Mary), Dary Goodrich (Cat), Whit McGraw (Camilla) and Megan Mozingo (Clayton) as well as 12 great grandchildren, brother David Poe and brother in-law William Goodrich. Helen kept a special lifelong friendship with Charlotte Hutton of Seattle, WA. The family would like to thank Helen’s wonderful caregivers in Connecticut, especially Ann, Brigitte, Charmaine, Christine, Keight and Woodland. The family would also like to thank Homepartners in Maine. They made the last years of her life full of laughter and loving care.A private family memorial service is planned at the Noroton Presbyterian Chapel on March, 26th in Darien, CT. Monday, March 06, 2017Bertram passed away after a short battle with cancer on Feb. 4. He was born Feb. 28, 1966 in Mexico. He moved to Bertram at the age of fifteen, where he was taken in by Jerry and Angie Escamilla and was treated as their own child. He is survived by his wife; Lori Campos of Bertram; his daughter Vanessa Holifield and husband Justin of Bertram; son Logan Campos and wife Karina of Liberty Hill; three grandchildren Ayden Pratt, Ethan Pratt and Mason Campos; his parents Cayetano and Guadalupe Campos of Mexico; brothers Claudio Campos and Efren Campos of Mexico, Pedro Campos and Chito Campos of Gatesville, Mauricio Campos of Austin, Hondo Campos of Cedar Park; sister Sara Campos of Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews. Speedy was employed by the City of Burnet, which he considered a second family. Speedy enjoyed working outdoors, spending time with his grandkids, and meeting new people. He knew no strangers and welcomed everyone he met with a smile. He was always the life of every party and enjoyed dancing. He spent most of his days off working outside and spending time with Ayden, Ethan and his dog Bella. They would spend their time working and feeding the animals and sometimes just playing. Visitation were held Tuesday Feb. 7, from 6 p.m.
Monday, February 06, 2017Cumberland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Joe Cox and Pearl McLamb Cox.Shelton is survived by his wife, Eloise Jernigan Cox; daughters, Camilla Lynn Cox of Raeford, and Katie Cox Kozik of Hope Mills; sisters, Bessie Tart and Glenda Jernigan & husband Archie, Jr. all of Benson; a brother, Tommy Joe Cox & wife Joyce of Sanford.He loved spending time outdoors fishing and gardening and he loved country music.A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services, Hope Mills. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.

Monday, December 26, 2016Tom was a combat-wounded veteran from the Korean War (U.S. Army 1950-52), and owned a family shoe store, Tom's Family Shoes, in Delavan, where he and his surviving wife, Camilla, raised four boys: Mark, who resides in WI and is married to Sharon and has one son, Taylor; Tom (Jr.) who resides in NC; Bill, who resides in NC and has three children (Ryan, Will and Nikki) and Jon, who resides in CO and is married to Kirsten. In 1958, Tom married the love of his life, Camilla (Shields), and they lived in Milwaukee before relocating to Delavan in April of 1962, where they purchased a home and established Tom's Family Shoe Store. While in Delavan, Tom and Camilla raised their four sons, and Tom was an established businessman and supporter of many entities, which included: Chamber of Commerce; longstanding parishioner of St. Andrew's Parish; American Legion Post 95 (actively participated in Veteran's Day Parades and events); he was a fixture of Delavan's Maxwell Street Day; and sponsored many teams (bowling, baseball). Tom bowled in the commercial league for 25 years, and was an avid golfer at Delbrook Golf Course, where he was a member of the Men's Club. Tom enjoyed his many daily interactions with Tom's Family Shoes' customers and lifelong friends, and was passionate about developing and maintaining a thriving business climate in Delavan; playing cribbage with neighbors; listening to Big Band music; traveling throughout the United States with his family; and carrying out conversati...
