Monday, March 27, 2017Saturday on the trails, he was always ready to go!Roy is survived by his three children, Susan (Jim) Scholtz of McHenry, Ill., Steve (Debbie) Christison of Carrollton, Ill., and Jim (Anne) Christison of Danville; six grandchildren, Ben (Michelle) Scholtz, Aaron Scholtz, Carly Christison, Colin Christison, Samantha Christison and Jeffrey Christison; one great-grandson, Jasper Scholtz; a sister, Vivian (Vedder) Knight of White Hall; and many special nieces and nephews, who affectionately referred to him as "Good Ole Uncle Roy."He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother, Edward Christison; and one sister, Marjorie Choate.A celebration of Roy's life will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 30, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Danville.Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. (Betty) Stubbins of Urichsville; a sister, Judy Edmonds of Amsterdam; six grandchildren, Damean ,Dezire and Doniven Hasseman, Hunter and Chantz Morgan, Kylee Haas and Kaitlyn Tucker ; and six nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death was her father and a daughter, Cathy Sue Hasseman.Graveside service will be held April 6 at 3:30 p.m. in Baxter’s Ridge Cemetery.Allmon-Dugger-Cotton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Christ said, "I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. She was a graduate of Minerva High School in 1960.She is survived by daughter, Amy (John) Young of Pataskala; son, Doug (Lori) Zwahlen of Minerva; sister, Arla Jean Seck of Carrollton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Maggie (Robert) Carter of Carrollton, Rosemary (George) Myers of Eaton and Alfred (Norma) Zwahlen of Minerva; six grandchildren, Spencer (Felisha) Wazlavek, Tyler (fiancé Dannie Jo Ady) Wazlavek, Galina Young, Robby Young, Jack Zwahlen, and her namesake, Edie Mae Zwahlen; four great grandchildren, Dalylah, Rosalie, Everest and Alex; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Zwahlen, who died Aug. 7, 2009.Funeral services will be Feb. 27 at 11 a.m. in Gotschall-Hutchison Funeral Home with Chaplain Terry Livengood officiating. Monday, February 20, 2017Scott said the mayor and town council recently chose national company Lanier Plans DBA KorKat Inc. as the contractor.The company has one location based out of Carrollton and specializes in playgrounds, spray parks and other outdoor equipment. After a review of each proposal, the town chose KorKat because its proposal offered the most spray zones. It will design and deliver the new water spray park seven weeks from when the order is placed, and it will take another eight weeks to install.Braselton started seeking a contractor and put out its proposal specifications in late December and gave companies until Jan. 30 to send in their proposals.Other proposals came from Aquatic Management Inc., Bliss Products & Services, Great Southern Recreation, and Splash Zone.
