Monday, September 26, 2016Annie Lee Richardson Cook, 97, of Lavonia, Georgia and formerly of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016.She was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.Annie was preceded in death by her husbands, Rufus Richardson and Charlie “Doc” Cook; parents, Terry and Julie Davis MaHaffey; daughter, Barbara Dean; step-sons, J.C. Richardson and Richard Cook; sisters, Lula Martin, Martha Goff, and Rosie MaHaffey; and brothers, Tom MaHaffey, Clyde MaHaffey, Marvin MaHaffey, Sam MaHaffey and Jim MaHaffey.Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lou Eavenson of Lavonia, GA; and step-daughter, Linda Jackson of LaFayette.Funeral from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel will be Sunday, Sept. 25 at 4 p.m. with Rev. Tim Redden and Raymond Fitzpatrick officiating. Interment in the East Armuchee Baptist Church Cemetery.Family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, Sept. 24 from 6-9 p.m.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Lavonia McAlister, and his brother Clint McAlister.He is survived by his wife Tara McAlister; son Jake and his wife Toffee McAlister of Midland, TX; son Travis and his wife Ann McAlister of San Antonio; son Kent and his wife Gretchen McAlister of Denver, Colorado; son Taylor Smith of Midland, and son Hunter Smith of Chicago, Illinois.He is also survived by his four grandchildren Rhodes McAlister, English McAlister, Campbell McAlister, and Wynn McAlister.He is also survived by his brother Mike McAlister and partner Sandy Roddy of Irving, and his sister Cindy Hillman and her husband Randy of Big Spring, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.Kyle graduated from Big Spring High School in 1969 where he was president of the student council, captain of the football team, and class favorite.
