Tuesday, April 18, 2017Floyd Raymond Owen, 94, of Rossville, Georgia, died on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at his daughter's home.A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Mr. Owen retired from Sears after more than 30 years of service. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was an avid gardener, woodworker, enjoyed flying, and most of all, loved his family.He served his church faithfully at Rossville First Baptist for 50 years.He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Hazel Owen; son, Terry Owen; parents, Arthur and Gladys Owen; brother, Herman Owen; and sisters, Geniva Demsey, Mabel Duckett and Thelma Hydas.Survivors are his daughter, Debra (Lamar) Plunkett, Ringgold; granddaughter, Tabitha Bohannon (Jamie Harris); two grandsons, Aaron Plunkett (Danielle Smith), and Greg Owen (Heather Fox); five great-grandchildren, Wyatt Owen, Maddox and Parker Bohannon, Jaxson and Ingread Harris; daughter-in-law, Sheila Owen; and several nieces and nephews.Services will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel with...
