He was a Life Member of the Lambertville Elks Lodge, and he retired after 30 years of employment with General Motors in West Trenton, N.J.Gene served in the United States Navy during World War Two.Son of the late Flavio and Marjorie Casey Cifelli, widower of Elizabeth Abrams Cifelli, and brother of the late Rose Culver, Marjorie Masterson and Joan Schmidt, he is survived by his stepdaughter Donna Gordon of Arizona, his stepson Robert Gordon of Lambertville, brother-in-law Warren Schmidt, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Monday, March 06, 2017Eloise Crowe Morris, 92, of Fort Oglethorpe, known to her family as “Nanny,” passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Trenton, Florida.Born on March 7, 1926, to the late Forrest and Edna Crowe, she enjoyed her early childhood days in the Rome, Georgia community, later attending nearby Berry School where she met the love of her life, the late Joseph Ray Morris. They then moved to Chattanooga.She was a member of the Fort Oglethorpe, First Baptist Church, the Gleaners Sunday School Class, and Keenagers. She was a beautician by trade, having her salon in the family home for many years. She later established her business at a local Chattanooga retirement center. She spent the last five years at the Tri-County Retirement home in Florida where she made new friends and enjoyed the many activities available to residents. Monday, February 27, 2017On March 10, 1951, he married Mary Patricia (Patty) Montgomery in Maryville, Missouri. They settled in Jefferson City, where they resided for the next 66 years. John graduated from high school in Trenton, Missouri in 1945. He then enrolled at the University of Missouri, where he joined the Beta Theta Pi social fraternity. He graduated from M.U. in 1950 with a degree in Business and Public Administration. After graduation, John continued to support his alma mater and, in 1959, served as President of the University of Missouri National Alumni Association. While attending the University, John served his country as an enlisted officer in the U.S. Army. He was stationed in Fort Lawton, Washington and honorably discharged in 1948. After earning his undergraduate degree, John continued his education and received his M.B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Finance.In 1951, John began his employment with the Central Missouri Trust Company (now Central Bank). He remained there until his retirement in 1988. During his tenure with Central Bank, John furthered his education by attending the A.B.A. Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University and the School of Finance and Public Relations at Northwestern University.
