Monday, February 06, 2017Kanoho, Shantel (RJ) Coyaso, Chelsie (Howie) Kanoho, Adam (Sunni) Coyaso, Rachel (Camden) Coyaso, Hope Coyaso, and Chace Coyaso; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Laura “Lita” Coyaso Vales of Pearl City, O’ahu, and Dora Coyaso Vales of Vacaville, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2017, at Holy Cross Church in Kalaheo. Visitation will be at 8:30 a.m. with services beginning at 10 a.m. Internment will be held at Holy Cross cemetery and refreshments will be followed at the church hall.Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.Denise D. First St., will host an Epiphany service service at 7 p.m. Jan. 6.The group will gather for an abbreviated Eucharist and the old Christian tradition of the blessing of the doors. A Saturday evening service will take place at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 7, and the Rev. Thomas Ekstrand will lead a Sunday service at 9 a.m. Jan. 8. The Property and Helping Hands committees will meet after the Sunday service.The Whirl Sunday school will resume Jan. 8 with a meeting at 10:15 a.m. for the lesson “A Light to the Nations." The Confirmation class also will meet at 10:15 a.m., and the Spots group for grades 5-6 will meet at 11 a.m.The Fifth Quarter group for grades 7-8 will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 8, and the Genesis group for high schoolers will meet at 7:30 p.m.The church hosts walking for exercise at 8:30 a.m. Mondays and Thursdays in the lower level.
