Tuesday, April 18, 2017She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Phillips on Oct. 6, 2000; and a daughter, Belinda Philips.Survivors included a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Dennis Caldwell of Rockmart; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Judy Ellison of Rome; three grandchildren, Trey, Travis and Kitzi; five great-grandchildren, Tristan, Lexi, Justin, Brooklyn and Hadlee also survived.Funeral graveside and interment services for Mrs. Phillips were held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 6 p.m. in the family lot of the Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Saturday, April 08, 2017April 2, 2017Bob took his walk to be with our Heavenly Father the early hours of April 2, 2017, his daughter Nancy was at his side.Bob was the son of Earl Joseph Mayes and Thelma Roberdia “Caldwell” Mayes. Bob was born in Enid Oklahoma, but in his early childhood moved to the Ketchum/Langley Area.Bob served in the Army with a tour of duty in Japan during War World II and was called back as a reserve in the Korean Conflict.Bob married Gladys June Macon on March 7, 1949, making their home in the Ketchum/Langley area. They had three children John Earl, Robert Whayne and Nancy Ruth. After 22 years of marriage, they divorced. Bob married Betty A Drywater. Betty had two children Scott and Mary Ellen.Bob worked as a heavy construction superintendent until his retirement.
