Marjorie went to live with her aunt Pearl and uncle Addie Alexander in Kendrick.She married Felix Holt in 1941, and they made their home in Kendrick and Lewiston. They had three children, Shirley (John) McCann of Uniontown, Jack W. Holt, who passed away Nov. 15, 1950, and Nancy Holt of Lewiston. Felix Holt died in 1976, and Marjorie later married Howard Roberts in 1983. Howard added seven children to the marriage.Marjorie enjoyed being a member of the CB Club, as well as the Bowling and Garden Club. She enjoyed fishing, making crafts and especially cake decorating. She enjoyed teaching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren how to play cards, dice and crochet.Marjorie leaves behind eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters; one brother; husbands Felix Holt and Howard Roberts; her son, Jack Holt; and a granddaughter, Kristan Curtiss. Marjorie had a long, healthy life and will be greatly missed.A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston. BOISE – Described by friends as a gentleman and go-to government expert, longtime Lewiston lawmaker Mike Mitchell died in Boise on Friday. He was 91.Mitchell spent nearly 40 years in public service in Idaho, spanning the executive and legislative branches. His resume included three terms in the House, six terms in the Senate and four years as chief of staff for Gov. Cecil Andrus. He also served on the Idaho Transportation Board, State Board of Education and as interim director of the state Department of Correction.“He probably has more nuts-and-bolts experience in the broad range of government than any other person I know,” Andrus said in 1991, on the occasion of Mitchell’s first “retirement” from public service. “The guy who does the nitty-gritty and the hard work is Mike Mitchell. Cynthia Faye Chapman passed away Saturday, Feb. 25, 2017, in Bend, Ore. She was 66.Cynthia was born to Ernest Chapman and Ruby Parsons on Nov. 5, 1950, in Lewiston. She attended Lapwai High School for two years and graduated in 1969 from Riverside Boarding School in Oklahoma.Cynthia lived in Lapwai most of her life but also lived in White Swan, Wash., and Warm Springs, Ore.Cynthia worked for the Nez Perce Tribe in the accounting department, Warm Springs Health and Wellness in the accounts payable department of the Kah Nee Ta Resort in Warm Springs, and also as a flagger in Idaho for different construction sites.Cynthia is survived by children Raymond A.
