Monday, June 26, 2017Waldo N. "Bumpa" Pierce, Jr., 90, longtime resident of both Auburn and Paxton, passed away Tuesday, June 20th, 2017 at Parsons Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Worcester.Waldo was born in Grafton, son of the late Waldo N. Sr. and Hazel Pierce. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School. He worked for Norton Company of Worcester as a pipefitter for 27 years. He served as a Private First Class in the US Army Infantry during World War II, working in Japan for a short time. He was an avid golfer and family man. He loved to travel to Maine, Hawaii, and California. Waldo was an active member of the Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn and was a member of their men’s group for many years. Waldo was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Barbara M. Pierce, this past November. He is survived by two daughters, Joann L. Monks and her husband, Darren Monks of Auburn, and Donna M. (Leszczynski) Mendys, 93 of Auburn died Friday June 16, 2017 in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence in Worcester surrounded by her loving family.Tessie was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Zambrzyski) Leszcynski. She graduated from David Hale Fanning Trade School. Tessie had worked as a very talented seamstress for the Slovin Company in Worcester for many years before she retired in 1980. She was a faithful member of Saint Joseph’s Church and volunteered many hours at the Auburn Senior Center. Tessie loved her many visits to Foxwoods and enjoyed being a member of the Auburn Senior Bowling League.She leaves her husband of 69 years, Stanley T. Monday, June 26, 2017Pasquale R. “Patsy” Bisceglia, 78, of Auburn, a Retired Worcester Firefighter died Monday June 19, 2017 in his home with his loving wife by his side after a short illness. Patsy was born in Worcester son of the late Matthew and Anna P. (Caforio) Bisceglia. He graduated from Worcester Boys Trade School in 1958 and attended the former Worcester Junior College. He served his county proudly with the United States Navy on the USS Willis A. Lee, prior to joining the Worcester Fire Department where he worked for 28 years.He leaves his wife of 37 years, Joan A. (Weagle) Bisceglia; a step-son, Brian J. Belanger, whom he raised, three daughters, Alaina Bisceglia, Tara Maguire and Lynn Bisceglia Raffa; seven grandchildren and Close friends, Jonathan Gabriel, Roger “Skip” Fyrbeck and Robert Wheeler.
