Bob enjoyed playing cards and dominoes; IndyCar and Nascar Races; Colts; Pacers; IU; and Butler Basketball. He also loved his grandchildren and going to their activities.Surviving Bob is his wife, Norma Rogers of Greenfield; son, Jerry (Julie) Rogers of Greenfield; daughter, Janice (Rick) Johnston of Greenfield; brother, Jack Rogers of Cadiz, KY; sister, Fredonna Sinkhorn of New Castle; and grandchildren, Derek, Shelley, David & Jennifer.Preceding Bob in death are his parents, brothers, Howard and Earl Rogers; and sister Lillian Rice.Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to noon on Monday, June 12, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 W. Michigan Ave., which has witnessed many different uses. To locals, it will always been known as The Dutch Kettle, a once popular restaurant, or “the bowling alley.”“In the 1960s, the building became Pigeon Lanes Bowling Alley and a restaurant,” Childs said. “The restaurant has changed names, but from 1976 and on, it was called the Dutch Kettle.”For a number of years, the building has sat vacant, collecting dust and beginning to deteriorate.
