Monday, January 23, 2017GIBSON CITY – Norman Beecher Ashley, 84, of Gibson City died at 3:40 a.m. on Friday (Jan. 20, 2017) at Avocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal.His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Anchor, with the Rev. Jim Davis officiating. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City with military rites by the Lee Lowery American Legion in Gibson City. Burial will be at Wiley Cemetery in Colfax. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Mr. Grizzle was born July 10, 1955, in Bloomington, a son of Myron and Lois O'Brien Grizzle. He married Kay L. Tauber on March 14, 2004, in Florida. She survives in Chatsworth.Also surviving are a daughter Heather (Jared Milton) Grizzle of Colfax; a granddaughter, Alexis Molck; five siblings, Dennis (Barb) Grizzle, Jayne Cook, David (Tamara) Grizzle, Robert (Patricia Puetz) Grizzle and Joseph (Tina) Grizzle; a brother-in-law, Sam (Barbara) Tauber; and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother-in-law, Rick Cook; sister-in-law, Jane Tauber; and mother-in-law, Verla Tauber. Mark worked at Alamo in Gibson City for 42 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears and NASCAR fan, especially Jeff Gordon. Mark particularly enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and pets. Memorials may be made to the Chatsworth fire and EMS department, American Cancer Society or CISAR.
