Monday, June 26, 2017Waldo was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Barbara M. Pierce, this past November. He is survived by two daughters, Joann L. Monks and her husband, Darren Monks of Auburn, and Donna M. Godfrey of Lunenburg; two granddaughters, Heather L. and Jessica L. Monks both of Auburn; a great grandson, Hayden J. Monks of Auburn; and is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters: Louise, Charlotte, and Nellie; and one brother: Eugene.Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Waldo’s family on Wednesday, June 28th, 2017 from 9:30AM-11:00AM in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn with service to follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Then followed by burial with military honors at the Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Bethel Lutheran Church.

In addition to his father, Mr. Stallings was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eva Haymore Moss and Forest Haymore. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 26, 2017, at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Kent officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until 3:30 p.m. prior to the service, and at other times at his mother's home, 236 Beavers Mill Road, Apt. B, Danville, VA 24540.
