Sunday, February 12, 2017Texas, went home to be with the Lord February 3rd 2017, after 18 years of brave challenges with a traumatic brain injury.Tom was born on January 3rd, 1951 in Fairfield, Illinois. He graduated from Grayville Community High School in Grayville Illinois, in 1969, where he was a member of the Beta Club and Boy Scouts. Tom graduated from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1973 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering Technology.In the Southern Illinois area, Tom practiced civil engineering with firms Moldovan & Associates, Inc. and Watwood & Heavener, Inc.; ten years in Florida with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc. in Orlando, Florida, and AIM Engineering and Surveyors, Inc. in Ft. Myers, Florida. Moving to Dallas, Texas, he became a Vice President with Bridgefarmer & Associates. Tom loved roadway design and construction. He liked to see “Dirt at Work”. His 22 years as a Professional Engineer in Illinois, Florida, and Texas brought him much gratification. Tom was a Registered Land Surveyor in Illinois and Florida.Professional affiliations included The American Society of Civil Engineers and Illinois Professional Engineer Association.
