ADERS•Megan Kellin joined the Entrepreneur Fund Board of Directors. Kellin, of Grand Rapids, is founder/owner of be.Media House in Boulder, Colo., a national strategic marketing firm. She returned to Itasca County in 2015 and launched Lake + Co., a company that publishes three magazines including Lake Time Magazine, Lake Bride Magazine and Lake Home Magazine. She also has a gift retail store and she and her family are restoring the Hotel Rapids on Highways 2 and 169.•Lake Superior College Foundation named the following locals to its board of directors: Timothy Peterson, a business development manager with Allete, president; Sandy Hoff, president of F. I. Salter Co., vice president' John Eagleton, retired CEO of Northstar Aerospace, treasurer; and Rev. Terese Tomanek, a chaplain with Essentia Health in Duluth, secretary.•Harbortown Rotary of Duluth elected Scott Fisher president for the 2016-17 year. Fisher has been a member of Harbortown for 27 years and has served as club secretary on the board of directors, as chairperson of various committees and as a board member of the club's Robert Hermans Scholarship Fund.Outside of Harbortown, he is a financial advisor/registered representative of AdvisorNet Financial, Fisher/Troy Wealth Management and Cetera Advisor Networks of Duluth.• Five local men are raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research through the American Cancer Society. The men include Dave Adams, lead singer of Duluth band Big Wave Dave and The Ripples; Josh Berlo, athletic director at University of Minnesota Duluth; Dr. Arne Vainio; Edward Moody, evening anchor for CBS3; and Justin Michaels of Midwest Communications.•Goodwill of Duluth announced Steve Sharkey of Maurices was named a new board member...
