Bennett, 74, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Beloit Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family.He was born March 10, 1942 in Orangeville, IL, the son of George and Cecilia “Viola” (Wickler) Bennett. David was a graduate of Beloit Catholic High School. He married Susan Coomer on April 21, 1963 in St. Jude Catholic Church, Beloit, WI. David was previously employed by Beloit Corporation and Woodward Governor Inc. as a Millwright/Machinist. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. David was a funny man, always had a good story or joke to tell, and would help anyone who needed it. He was a Cub Scout leader, softball coach/umpire, and also taught hunter education. David was a member of the Beloit Rifle Club, the Isaak Walton League of America, and he was also part of the N.R.A. He also loved his old antique tractors, John Wayne, going for coffee with his friends, and spending time with his grandchildren.
