Monday, November 21, 2016RIDGWAY – Condred R. “Ray” O’Neal, 91, longtime Ridgway resident, passed on this life Nov. 12, 2016, in Harrisburg Medical Center.Ray, as most knew him, was born in Beaver Dam, Kentucky, on July 8, 1925, to the late John Henry and Marie (Taylor) O’Neal.He married Hazel (Krikie) on June 30, 1947, and she preceded him in death. He then married Geraldine Hendrix, who also preceded him in death.A U.S. Army veteran, Ray served his country during World War II. He worked for many years before retiring at Whirlpool, and then started working at Eagle 2 coal mine and retired again. But his retirement didn’t last long, as he continued to work around his home and helping others right up until his passing.Ray liked to garden and fish, but he mostly liked to work. He was a very kind-hearted and caring person. He will be so missed.Survivors include eight nieces, Rebecca Roberts, Carla Branch, Peggy Johnson, Nancy Hinkle, Mary Volberg, Hazel Potts, Mary Stone and Barb Hunt; eight nephews, Danny, Carl...
