Monday, July 04, 2016Salem, died June 24, 2016, at Janesville Mercy Hospital due to a tragic accident. He was born March 19, 1959, in Chicago, to the late Anthony and Dorothy (Mazzorana) Smaniotto.Dave grew up in Tinley Park, Ill., and graduated from Tinley Park High School, where he was proud to be a Titan football player. In 1981 he graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a degree in biology. He worked as a chemist at Chemical Waste Management then moved on to Brandenburg Industrial Services Co., where he had currently been a general superintendent.He raised two children in Tinley Park with former spouse, Dianne Smaniotto. In 2008, he moved to Salem and in 2014 married Becky Biller. They spent their time fishing, planting an orchard at their home, gardening, and enjoying the fruits of their labor. They loved traveling to northern Wisconsin to spend time with family. Their favorite times, though, were hosting large family parties at their home. Dave was a man’s man.
