Monday, June 26, 2017Funeral services for Viola Wagner age 93 of West Point, NE will be held on Wednesday, June 7th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in West Point, NE. Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from noon to 8:00 p.m., with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, and will continue on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. The family suggests that memorials in Viola's name be directed to the American Veterans Park- West Point or St. Paul Lutheran Church-West Point, or a charity of the donor's choice.Viola passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Wisner Care Center.Viola Wagner was born on March 15, 1924 at Beemer, NE to August and Anna (Stark) Liibbe. She was the daughter of William Ray Thomas and Jessie Fern (Cox) Thomas. She was raised in Ramona until the age of seven when the family moved to the Oglesby area. For most of her life she remained in the Bartlesville area.She attended Ramona Elementary, Tyner Elementary and graduated from eighth grade in 1940. She attended Junior and Senior High School in Ramona, later receiving her GED. She furthered her education by attending Draughon School of Business in 1977. Maxine enjoyed many different careers. She was employed with H&R Block in Tulsa as a tax consultant. She also worked for Dr. Zulkey in Tulsa as a receptionist and was a nurse aide for Charley and Helen Edwards. She later enjoyed employment with the Pink Panda Water Bed Company. She was then a self-employed tax consultant...
