Steele Jr. of Portland, Oregon, three daughters, Antonia Steele of Portland, Oregon, Angela Steele of Portland, Oregon, and Bobbie Jo Steele of Centerville, MO and 15 grandchildren. Surviving also are, three brothers, Charlie Steele of Granite City, Martin Steele of Brighton and Robert Steele of East Alton, and two sisters, Lisa McBride of East Alton and Martha Lair of Rosewood Heights. Also surviving are Mary’s children, Allen Austin of Alton, Justin Austin of Cottage Hills, and Holly (Austin) Wright of Roxana and Mary's grandchildren and great grandchildren. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Richard, Gerald and John Steele. Department of Transportation shows.One of the drivers involved in a Dec. 27, 2016, head-on crash in Appanoose County was impaired by alcohol, according to the DOT information.Robert L. McFall, 34, of Centerville, Ia., crossed the center line, slamming head-on into a vehicle driven by Robert L. Moore, 68, of Centerville.The crash happened around 10 p.m. south of Centerville on Iowa Highway 5 at Highway T30. Both men died from their injuries.The information provided by the DOT did not specify which man was driving while impaired.Court records show that McFall was arrested April 28, 2016, and charged with operating while intoxicated-first offense. A trial had been scheduled for March.Moore was employed Centerville's Wastewater Department for 21 years before retiring, according to his obituary. He was a volunteer for Veterans Affairs and enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and "teasing and tormenting anyone he could."Marcus McFall was killed Dec. 27, 2016, in a head-on collision that killed one other person. (Photo: Supplied photo)McFall worked for Midwest Transportation Services in Albia, according to his obituary. She used her certification to teach Special Education for Centerville School District.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Patricia Shilling and Sharon (George) Boettcher; grandchildren, Ryan Camana, Brittany Camana and Michael Boettcher; great-grandchild, Kaila Perry and her brother, Henry Powers.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jack Powers, Lorene Kehrt and Illene Foote.Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 at E.C.
