Monday, April 03, 2017Saturday (March 25, 2017) at Golden Living Center.Mrs. Turney was born on April 7, 1923, in Portland, Ind., the daughter of Marvin Eugene and Ethel Myrtle Mae (Swank) McNutt.Ruth graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1941.She married Robert A. Racer on Nov. 11, 1942, in Dunkirk, Ind.; he preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1995. She married Charles Turney on Feb. 14, 1999; he preceded her in death on Oct. 25, 2006.She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Lois Vivian Dean, Cathleen Theol McNutt and Esther Elizabeth "Betty Jo" Gick Wright.She and her family moved to Urbana in 1959. She and Bob returned to Indiana in 1987.Ruth worked for Hood's Pharmacy, Magnavox and Switchcraft. She was also an election judge. Ruth enjoyed cooking and playing cards.Survivors include her daughter, Linda Kay (Robert) Ogle of Champaign; son, Stephen Lynn Racer of Muncie, Ind.; granddaughters, Nancy Lynn (Jay) Gould of Noblesville, Ind., and Carolyn Ann Ogle of Tampa, Fla.; three great-grandchildren, Kayla Gould of Champaign, Courtney Gould of Noblesville, Ind., and Caden Gould of Noblesville; Charlie had five children, including Debbie Scott (Ramon) of Muncie, Ind.Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30, at Green Park Ce...

Crickmore of Greenfield; sister, Dorothy Lydy; five grandchildren, Kristi McCombs; Christopher Wray; Timothy Keesling; Patrick Wray; Steven Shivley; and four great-grandchildren with one currently on the way.Preceding Ray in death are his parents whom are listed above; wife, Barbara E. Crickmore; daughter, Penny A. Johns; sister, Vergie Merriman; brother, William Crickmore; sons-in- law, Ron Keesling; and Russell Jeanes.Visitation for Ray will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2016, at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel of Greenfield, 1780 West Main St, Greenfield, IN, 46140. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, also at the funeral home. Military Honor’s will be presented by the Navy and Greenfield Veteran’s Honor Guard immediately following the service at the funeral home.
