In lieu of flowers, donations to Pathway Hospice in Loveland.Please leave condolences for the family at www.ncccremation.com.Sebastian LoIaconoOct. 7, 1929-Sept. 8, 2016Age: 86Residence: GreeleySebastian Alfred LoIacono, 86, of Greeley, a very devout Catholic, went to meet his heavenly father on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at the TRU Hospice Inpatient Unit. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Oct. 7, 1929, to Italian immigrants Ippolito and Margherita (Catalano) LoIacono.He joined the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, serving eight years and then joined the U.S. Air Force, in which he served 12 years before retiring at Luke AFB in Arizona. He married Selma A. Wehl on Aug. 15, 1963, at Luke AFB, later moving to Colorado, where he began his U.S. Postal career in Greeley, retiring in 1992.Sebastian volunteered at Franklin Middle School and NCMC for 12 years, enjoyed tai chi, reading and music.He was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church and sang in the choir for a number of years, and was a member of the Letter Carriers Union.Survivors include his wife, Selma; daughters, Judy (David) Sauriol and Julie LoIacono all of Greeley; grandchildren, Jodi (Dan) Monares of Johnstown, David (Kelly) Baeta and Daniel (Lorin) Baeta all of California; great-grandchildren, Jake and Whitney Monares and Enzo Baeta; and his brother, Emil (Inge) LoIacono of Rochester, Minn.
