Wednesday, a day after the death of her daughter, the actress Carrie Fisher. She was 84.Her death, following a stroke, was confirmed by her son, Todd Fisher, according to her agent, Tom Markley of the Metropolitan Talent Agency. Jefferson City, Mo., died peacefully on Friday, November 18, 2016, at her home.Kit was born December 2, 1923, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Edward David and Theresa Meyer Geisler Markle. She was married on June 24, 1950, in Jefferson City, Mo., to Harold Godfrey Butzer who preceded her in death on September 6, 2014.A resident of Jefferson City since her family moved to the area when she was in her late teens, Kit graduated from Normandy High School in St. Louis and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia.A homemaker, Kit was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph, the Guadalupe Circle, the Jefferson City Country Club, St. Mary’s Hospital Auxiliary, the Morning Music Club, and the Thursday Bridge Group. She was also active in Republican politics. Kit loved playing golf and bridge, and she also enjoyed painting, cooking, and entertaining. Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at the Fulton County Health Center in Wauseon.  She was born in Wauseon on October 21, 1926 to the late Lewis and Blanche (Phipps) Markley.  After graduating from Delta High School in 1944, her employment included Pet Milk, Page & Cox, and McCords.Irene married the love of her life, Marion A. Mohler on June 6, 1948. She was a faithful member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church/Beulah United Methodist Church for many years.  She was a volunteer at the Open Door in Delta and Hands of Grace.  Irene enjoyed church activities, gardening, playing cards, and attending the Fulton County Fair.  She encouraged many friends and family with her cards of love and care. Irene will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.  She was met in heaven by her husband, parents, sister, Doris McMullen; brother, Leland Markley and brother-in-law, Wilbur Parker.  Irene is survived by her son, Robert (Malinda) Mohler of Wauseon; daughters, Rita (Kim) Wynn of Ft.
