Monday, June 19, 2017Martha Ann Owens Abrams, of 110 Shady Lane, died Monday, June 12, 2017 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Joseph Preston “JP” and Jessie Mitchell Abrams. He was an Associate member of Ware Shoals First Presbyterian Church and the Men’s Bible Sunday School Class. He was a past member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army Reserves. He was a graduate of Upper Iowa University, where he earned a BA Degree. Mr. Abrams retired from Monsanto after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Ware Shoals Catfish Feastival Board of Directors, and was an active and involved volunteer in any Ware Shoals community activity. He was a member of the RE/Water Greenville SC, committee serving to monitor the needs and quality of the Reedy River Water Shed. Mr. Abrams was a member of the Laurens County Cruise Club and was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed fishing, boating and golf. He was twice married, first to the late Polly Owens Abrams.Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of the home, are: his son, Keith (Sara) Abrams of Laurens; his daughter, Kimberly (Dale) Langley of El Dorado, AR; three brothers, Joseph Preston (Pat) Abrams, Jr.
