Saturday, June 10, 2017Funeral services for Gerald R. McDougal, age 72, of Morristown, will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Frary Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating.Burial will be at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.Mr. McDougal passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 12, 2017, at his home.Gerald is survived by two children, Lori McDougal of Ogdensburg and Steven McDougal of Jefferson City, Missouri; two brothers, William McDougal and his wife, Joanne, of Syracuse and James McDougal and his wife, Joan, of Syracuse; a sister, Diane Ryan and her husband, Raymond, of Syracuse and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerald is predeceased by two brothers, Joseph McDougal and David R. McDougal and a sister, Katherine Finley.Gerald was born on September 10, 1944, in Hammond, NY, the son of Robert and Evelyn Hague McDougal. He attended Morristown Central School. Step-children: Bonnie (Duane) Deardorff, Morristown, TN; Ross (Carol) Keene, Mountville; and I. Suzanne (L. Thomas) Hultzapple, Temple, PA. Sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great-granchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. One sister: Marian J. Wible, Orbisonia. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter: Elizabeth Laird; his twin brother: Edward Laird; and one sister: Hazel Raff.The Funeral Service will be held at the Workman Funeral Homes, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Mountville on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 12:00 Noon.
