Tuesday, April 18, 2017He retired in 1997 after 32 years with Dana Corporation in Richmond, IN; a U.S. Navy veteran; Life Member and Past Commander of American Legion Post #360 in New Paris; Life Member of AMVETS in Eldorado and member of the US Trotting Association.Preceded in death by his son: James A. Wright, Jr. in 1995; granddaughter: Cassondra Lee Wright; great grandson: Draven Bradley; 5 brothers and sisters.Survived by Wife of 57 years: Bonnie L. (Mackey) Wright; Children: Vickie Sue (John) Blevins, Tammie J. (Brian) Spigle and Kevin Lee Wright and companion Rose Page; Sister: Betty Griffith; 11 grandchildren: Billy, Felecia, Angela, Michael, Jerod, Josh, Andy, Shanelle, Brittany, Caleb and Jacob; 13 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren. Nieces and Nephews.Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 West Main St., New Paris, OH with Pastor Curtis Richardson officiating. Interment with military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Paris Food Bank. Monday, November 28, 2016Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with Jeff Rush and Darrell Eisenhauer officiating. Burial will follow in Wolf Creek Cemetery in Eldorado.Veterans' rites will be conducted by the Harrisburg and Carrier Mills American Legions, the VFW and the National Guard. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to service time Tuesday at the funeral home. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Monday, September 26, 2016By Megan Kennedy Published: September 12, 2016, 3:50 pm Updated: September 12, 2016, 6:45 pm Funeral and visitation arrangements have been announced for driver Shane Unger (Eldora Speedway).ROSSBURG, Ohio (WDTN) – Shane Unger, the driver who died in a wreck at Eldora Speedway Saturday will be laid to rest Thursday.Unger, of Rossburg, was pronounced dead at the Mercer County Community Hospital after the crash — which happened on a turn in the half-mile oval. He worked at Voisard Tool in Russia as a machinist, according to his obituary. “He loved dirt track racing where he traveled all through the Tri-State area. He enjoyed fishing but most of all spending time with his kids working on his racecar,” it read.A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville.
