She was the head buyer at True Value and retired in 1986.On January 12, 1951, she was united in marriage to Ed “Cagle” Wagner in Fremont, NE.Viola was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir for many years, and served as the receiving Treasurer and on church council. She had served as president of the West Point Women’s Bowling Association, and served on the School Board of West Point Public Schools. She was president of the West Point Board of Education during the construction of West Point Jr.-Sr. High School. Viola enjoyed watching sports, especially ones that involved her children and grandchildren. This came from regularly attending baseball games with her father from the age of eight years old. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles as part of her daily routine.Survivors include-Son- Hal and wife Carol Wagner of West Point, NE and family Mitch Wagner of Choctaw, OK and children- Parker, Brix, Knox, and Pax Luke Wagner and wife Sara Strehlow of Madison, WI Cole and wife Christina Wagner of Wichita Falls, TX Gina Wagner of Kansas City, KSSon-Ray and wife Cindy Wagner of Columbus, NE and family Jay and wife Jess Wagner of Hickman, NE and children Madison and Alex Leah and husband Justin Klein of Omaha, NEViola was preceded in death by her parents, husband-Ed “Cagle” in 1993, aunts-Caroline and Louise Stark, 3 stillborn siblings, sisters- Ruth and Leo Raabe, Irene and Vernon Rozendal, and her brother-Leland and Mary Ann Liibbe.

Fremont County, Wyo.) – Here are the recent deaths in Fremont County.William Jamison McDonald, 89, formerly of Downingtown, Pa. and Hawk Valley, Lancaster County, Pa. and presently living for the last 17 years in Lander, Wyoming, died on Wednesday, March 15, 2017. A Memorial Service took place at 2:00pm on Wednesday, March 22nd at the Chapel of Mount Hope in Hudson’s Funeral Home. The interment will take place at the convenience of the family. She returned to the West Point area and helped operate Patti’s Pantry and later Talents Unlimited in West Point.On September 30, 1983, she was united in marriage to Tim Martens at Fremont, NE. The couple lived in West Point and Donna worked at DV Industries in Pender, Smeal Fire Apparatus in Snyder, and lastly at Marathon Press in Norfolk. Six years ago, Donna and Tim moved to Hidden Meadows, near West Point, to enjoy lake living.Donna enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, quilting, and sewing. She loved spending time with her family, especially being “Nana” to her grandchildren.
