Remains of WWII veteran comes home...The Rolling Thunder, Mountain Home Chapter is asking Northeast Tennesseeans who want to honor Pfc. Reece Gass, the World War II veteran whose body is returning to Greeneville on June 8th, to line the roads for a long-overdue welcome home.Gass' family will receive his remains Thursday evening at the Tri-Cities Airport.His casket will be escorted to Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home in Greeneville by law enforcement, an Army Honor Guard, Rolling Thunder Mountain Home Chapter, and many other organizations.The Rolling Thunder group is urging citizens not able to attend the public visitation or committal service on Saturday to line TN 75, TN Route 36, TN 354/Boones Creek Road, and 11E from the airport to Greeneville as a salute.The Rolling Thunder, Inc. is a non-profit veterans organization that seeks accountability for all prisoners of war and missing in action soldiers from past wars.

Harshbarger, 67, of Aliquippa (Greene Twp.), died Friday morning, June 2, 2017, with family at her side at Valley Oaks, East Liverpool, Ohio.Born March 5, 1950, in East Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Charmaine A. (Buzzard) Schultz. Along with her late husband, Don, she was the owner and operator of Harshbargers, Inc., and was also employed at the Hampton Inn and the 911 Air Force Base, both in Moon Twp.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E.
