Eugene (Lucille) of Elk Run Heights; a sister, Marlys Timmer of Elk Run Heights; four grandchildren, Corey (Sarah) Everts of Richland Center, Wis., Christina (Christopher) Stejskal Grier of Kalona, Sarah (Curt) Everts Rodgers of Kalona and Andrew (Amanda) Everts of Holland, Iowa; and six great-grandchildren, Daniel, Hannah and Jackson Rodgers, Greeley and Maesa Everts, and William Grier.Preceded in death by: his parents; two sisters, Shirley Seamans and Judy Kay Garthoff; a brother, Jack Garthoff; and a great-granddaughter, Aurora Jean Everts.Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Locke Funeral Home with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by Waterloo American Legion Post No. 138, VFW Post No. 1623 and the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
