Mission Valley.Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says that Chasen Curley, 17, is behind bars after allegedly running over the child in the area of the Northwood Trailer Park in Pablo at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.Bell says dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting that a dark colored SUV had just run over the 3-year-old, causing the child's death. The driver of the SUV fled the scene and was reportedly driving recklessly.  A Montana Highway Patrol trooper located the suspect vehicle a short time later in the Ronan area and the driver was arrested. An investigation into the incident is still underway.Bell identified the deceased child as Phillip Shourds Jr.Flathead Tribal Police, Lake County Sheriff's deputies and the Montana Highway Patrol all responded to the incident.(11.24.16 story)A three-year old child died on Thanksgiving after being struck by a vehicle near Pablo.Lake County Sheriff Don Bell says the child was pronounced dead on scene.The Montana Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Spike Court Road at around 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.The driver of the vehicle that hit the child is in custody. We will have more information on this story as it becomes available.
