It is there that he met his wife, Brenda Whitfield, and married her on Aug. 20, 1970. He worked as a salesman for Miller Brewing Company in Lakeland. Upon retirement he moved to Lee in 1983 where he worked and retired from Dixie Packers. He had lived in Jennings since 2004. He loved to fish.He is survived by his wife, Brenda Dian Walker of Jennings; two sons, Tonney D. Walker (Retha) of Jennings and Jamey L Walker of Gainesville, Ga.; three daughters: Linda D. Monday, March 27, 2017Mary Virginia "Ginny" Butler (RN,BSN,MS), 69, peacefully passed away on February 24, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by family. Ginny was born on July 1, 1947, in New Brunswick, NJ, to David and Mary Torrans.Ginny worked all her life within the health care industry. She received her B.S. in nursing from the University of Delaware and then went on to get her Masters in Nursing, also from the University of Delaware. After marrying in a double wedding with her sister in 1970 at the family farm in Kennett Square, PA, she and Robert C. "Butch" Butler, Jr., her loving husband, packed up their Austin Healey and moved to Tulsa so that he could attend the University of Tulsa School of Law. Despite a tragic hunting accident that took the life of Butch in 1973, Tulsa became home and she remained in Tulsa, a proud "okie" despite always saying that once someone told her she was starting to "sound" like a true "okie" she would simply respond with "guess I need some east coast time".At home, she loved to paint, garden and play cards.
