Monday, August 15, 2016Finally, with three episodes remaining, The Night Of provides a suspect with motive to murder Andrea Cornish, one that could possibly create reasonable doubt for a jury regarding Nasir Khan’s guilt.At the end of episode six, “Samson and Delilah,” John Stone finds out some background information on Andrea’s mysterious stepfather — Don Taylor, whom we were introduced to in episode two — after investigating a question virtually every viewer had from the series’ very first episode. How could a 22-year-old single woman afford a multi-million dollar brownstone on New York’s Upper West Side? When interviewed by Detective Box, Taylor mentioned that Andrea’s mother owned the residence, so it was left to her daughter after she died.Stone didn’t know that, however, and began to dig when he became curious about that townhouse. That led him to the guy Taylor was seen arguing with at Andrea’s funeral in episode four, Ray Halle (Paulo Costanzo). Monday, July 18, 2016Newkirk resident, died Saturday, July 1, 2016, in Fairchild Center in Billings. She was 73. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 6, at 2 p.m. in the Newkirk Cemetery with Danny W. Cornish officiating. There will be no public viewing. Miller-Stahl Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements. The daughter of John and Jessie Landers Lewman, Barbara was born June 19, 1943, in Ponca City. She grew up on the farm east of Newkirk, and she began her education in Deer Creek Rural School and finished attending school at OK Rural School. After finishing her education, Barbara stayed on the farm with her parents and helped in the farming operation. Due to her father’s failing health, Barbara and her parents retired from farming and moved to Arkansas City, Kan., in 1970. In 1985 Barbara and her mother moved to Newkirk where she lived until she moved to the Fairchild Center shortly after her mother’s death in February 2014. In addition to working on the farm, Barbara and her mother worked at Sonic Drive In and the South Summit Carry Out from 1958 to 1976. They enjoyed their work and made many friends of their customers. Barbara was a member of Colray Chapel while living in Arkansas City, Kan. After moving to Newki...
