Monday, August 15, 2016Hundreds of mourners lined up outside Morning Star Baptist Church in Mattapan to pay their respects to Kyzr Willis, the boy who drowned after walking away unnoticed from a city-run day camp.Children played in the parking lot outside the church while adults stood in line yesterday for their turn to say farewell.“He was a sweet, lovely?little boy who will be ?dearly missed,” said one woman leaving the boy’s wake, who declined to give her name.“He was vibrant and full of life. This whole thing is ?a tragedy for everyone.”The 7-year-old boy was enrolled in a day camp at the Curley Community Center in South Boston when he wandered away from the program during ?a sweltering hot Tuesday last week.There was no sign of Kyzr until 7:09 p.m., when ?divers with Boston and Quincy police harbor ?patrols saw Kyzr’s body in water off Carson Beach just behind the center, police said.His funeral is slated ?for today at Morning Star Baptist Church.
