SHOVERPaul Michael Shover, 68, of Duncannon died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at home.He was born Jan. 17, 1949, in Mechanicsburg to Harvey Foster and Ruth Maxine (Wolf) Shover.  After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam era. After serving in the Navy he worked as a federal employee retiring after 36 years. He also was active in the Air National Guard for 18 years.  He loved the outdoors and nature, being an avid hunter and fisherman and loved cooking at hunting camp. He also enjoyed gardening at home.He was a member of New Buffalo Alliance Church, Duncannon, for 35 years, serving as a deacon, head usher and singing in the choir.   Surviving are his wife, Janet Shover; a daughter, Lesley Porter and husband Richard of Xenia, Ohio; three grandchildren, Ethan, Tessa and Wyatt; two brothers, Harvey and Curtis; a sister, Joyce Snyder; and many nieces, nephews and extended famly.A service was held Feb. 7 in his church with the Rev. Douglas Coleman officiating.
