Monday, April 03, 2017H. Nichols, 99, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017, at the Tennova Regional Hospital in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2017, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Joseph Ingram officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell Massey Funeral Home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Noxapater. Udine was born October 16, 1917, in Winston County, Mississippi, to James Richard and Erma Webb Hopkins. During World War II, she worked in Memphis hospitals as an LPN and she worked in the Army Depot in Memphis, Tennessee. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Newbern, Tennessee. Udine spent her last years at the Bridge Nursing Home in Ridgely, Tennessee. She was active in many activities and they were planning her 100th birthday party this year.Survivors include a son-in-law, Paul Bullington; her grandchildren: Susan Heffington; Laurie Kerr; Paula Hendrick; Brynda Williams and husband, Hal; and Deborah Wilson. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Keith Nicholson; Kristen VanCleve and husband, Jonathan; Lauren Lay; Eddie Hendrick; Krista Hendrick; Brennan Williams; Bella Williams; Beau Williams; Michelle Wiggley; Justin Brower; Rachel Brower; April Singleton; and William Hollowell; and her great-great-grandchildren: Bear, Harlow, Hance, Brower, Hunter, Caleb, Madison, Kirbey and Kaylee. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Nichols; daughters: Phyllis Hance and Brenda Sue Bullington; step-son, Bill Nichols; and two grandchildren, David Hance, Katherine E. Palmer, 93, of Dyersburg, died Friday, March 24, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Dyersburg Regional. Born October 9, 1923, he was the son of the late Eli Mace and Luna Vercie Rumley Palmer. He was an active member of the Northside Church of Christ of Dyersburg. He was a World War II Navy veteran, retired from the U. S. Postal Service, former employee of the Coca-Cola Company, and preached for various congregations, including the Twin Oaks Church of Christ, Huntingdon, Tn. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery, Dyersburg Tn. conducted by Brother Don McCaslin and Brother Rick Willis. Pallbearers will be: Stacey Weeks, Britt Hall, Gatlin Willis, Rick Willis, Jayson Norris, and Charles Edward Palmer. Honorary pallbearer will be Ty Weeks.The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at the funeral home.He is survived by his wife, Etna Palmer of Dyersburg, one daughter, Jennifer Ruth Holt of Dyersburg. Four grandchildren Stacey Weeks, Amy Jackson, Melissa Hall and Gatlin Willis. Five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters Judy Ann Weeks and Janet Kaye Willis.
