Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Joe Cox and Pearl McLamb Cox.Shelton is survived by his wife, Eloise Jernigan Cox; daughters, Camilla Lynn Cox of Raeford, and Katie Cox Kozik of Hope Mills; sisters, Bessie Tart and Glenda Jernigan & husband Archie, Jr. all of Benson; a brother, Tommy Joe Cox & wife Joyce of Sanford.He loved spending time outdoors fishing and gardening and he loved country music.A funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday, February 5, 2017 at Pinecrest Funeral & Cremation Services, Hope Mills. Burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service.
