Shirley Chase

Shirley J. Chase, age 74, of Jonesborough, TN, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, June 12, 2016, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in North Carolina, Shirley was raised in Fall Branch and moved to Harmony Community in 1991. She was married to the love of her life, Richard L. Chase, Sr. on July 8, 1960. Mrs. Chase was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed being a military wife and was very involved with The Red Cross and also loved preparing taxes. Shirley was dearly loved by her family.Mrs. Chase was preceded in death by her parents, Canie and Ethel (Butchie) Edmonds and two brothers, Harvey Edmonds and Red Edmonds.Surviving include her husband of 56 years, Richard L. Chase, Sr., of the home; daughter, Valorie Hall, also of the home; son, Richard L. Chase, Jr. and wife Chrissy of Rogersville, TN; brother, Clayton Edmonds of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandsons, Chase Hall and Tyler Hall (serving in the US Navy in Japan); nephews, Jerry Lynn Chase (Maggie) and Jonathon Chase and others; best friend, Ei...
