Bobby Lakes and Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow in the Scaffold Cane Cemetery in Rockcastle County. She was born March 19, 1963 in Berea, Ky. to the late Henry Thomas Phelps and Catherine Marie Walker Phelps. Shirley enjoyed the Horizon Adult Day Care, the dance contest where she won 1st place, listening to music, playing bingo with friends, and spending time with her family. Shirley is of the Baptist faith.Other than her mother Shirley is survived by 2 daughters, Latasha Phelps, Rachel Phelps, 1 brother Timothy Phelps, 2 sisters Daisey Phelps, Emma Phelps, 1 granddaughter Semaj Phelps, and a special aunt and caregiver Gladys Jenkins all of Richmond Ky.
