Miles Yeoman "Cap" Ferry, passed away on March 31, 2017, after a very brief illness at the age of 84.  He was born in Brigham City, Utah on September 22, 1932, to John Yeoman Ferry II (the original "Cap") and Alda W. Cheney Ferry and lived a life devoted to family, agriculture, and public service.He married his high school sweetheart, Suzanne Call, on May 19, 1952, and was later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on June 1, 1953.  Their union was blessed with four children and later expanded to include two daughters through the LDS Indian Placement Program.  Cap and Sue were  true partners in life, raising their children and grandchildren, participating in public life, and traveling the world together.Upon graduating from Box Elder High School in1950, Cap attended Utah State Agricultural College on a music scholarship, graduating Phi Kappa Phi in Animal Science in 1954. AdvertisementFollowing graduation, Cap joined his father in his farming and sheep operation and subsequently incorporated it into "J.Y. UHP Lt. Lee Perry.Ellsworth's public funeral is scheduled for 11 a.m. at Weber State University's Dee Events Center, Perry said. After the ceremony, Ellsworth's body will be taken to the Brigham City Cemetery.Ellsworth had stopped to assist with a downed power line in Box Elder County about 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 18 and was trying to alert the driver of a semitrailer truck about the power line when a car struck him, police said. The driver of that car was a teenage girl.Ellsworth, a 32-year-old Utah native, is survived by his wife, Janica, and three sons.Police escorted Ellsworth's body from Intermountain Medical Center in Murray to Ogden on Friday, according to KUTV.mnoble@sltrib.comTwitter: @mnoblenews...

Gillies Funeral ChapelCORINNE, Utah, July 27, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A body found floating in the Bear River near Corinne on Saturday has been identified as that of Nicole Marie Barlow, 26, of Brigham City.The Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office is calling the death suspicious, but not releasing details regarding the cause.“No details on the manner of death will be released at this time to protect the investigation,” said a statement released by Sheriff Kevin Potter.Officers responded at 8:45 p.m. Saturday after a man fishing in the area reported seeing the body, which was about a quarter mile north of the Corinne boat ramp.The body was retrieved and transported to the Medical Examiner’s office.“Our thoughts and prayers are with the Barlow family at this difficult time,” Potter’s statement said.The Box Elder Sheriff’s Office asks that anyone with information on the case contact Det.
