Smith, Reverend Howard Smith, Melton Smith, and the Reverend Elmer Smith.Funeral services were held March 27 in the Chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, Powdersville Road with burial following in Robinson Memorial Gardens.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anchor Sunday School Class, c/o Rock Springs Baptist Church, 201 Rock Springs Road, Easley, SC 29642.The family would like to express a sincere thank you for the love and care that was shown to Homer by Piedmont Hospice, especially Chris, Charlene and Henrietta.Condolences may be expressed online at wwww.robinsonfuneralhomes.com, or in person at Robinson Funeral Home – Powdersville Road, which is assisting the family.Dorothy Roena “Ro” McjunkinNEWPORT NEWS, VA — Roena McJunkin, 94, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2017.She was a native of Pickens and had been a resident of Newport News, Va. since 1950.Roena received her B.S. Degree from Georgia State College for Women in 1943. She taught in Georgia and South Carolina before moving to Virginia and, from 1950 to 1983, she was a proud member of the Warwick High School faculty in physical education and guidance.Her summer vacations were spent driving to and from Pickens County and welcoming family and friends at her cottage in “Outer Banks”.Ro was preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Dossie McJunkin; siblings, Christine Moss, Guy McJunkin, Clovie Lawson, and Jeanette Morrison. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.The family would like to thank Dr. David Chang, Dr. G. Fitzharris, special nurse, Nanette, and Visiting Angels And, a very warm thank you to Intrepid Hospice and nurse, Helen, who treated Ro with care and compassion with dignity.A Memorial Service was held April 1 at Weymo...Monday, January 02, 2017
