Also surviving are two daughters, Ann Mathieson and her husband, Scott of Aurora, New York and Janet Michaelsen and her husband, Christian of Annandale, Virginia; two sons, Paul B. Wackenhut and his wife, Martha, of Blackfoot, Idaho and Norman C. Wackenhut and his wife, Socorro of South Lake Tahoe, California; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife and a brother, Norman H. Wackenhut.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Loutzenhiser-Jordan Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 366-368 S. Main St., Greenville, Pennsylvania. There will also be calling hours prior to services on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. in Roth Library in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Monday, February 06, 2017Sara Teresa Gaines, 83, of King George County, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home.Mrs. Gaines was a longtime member of the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department in Fairfax and King George Volunteer Fire Department.Mrs. Gaines loved to knit, sew and crochet. She enjoyed reading books and socializing in the community. Mrs. Gaines was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Gaines, Jr.Survivors include her daughters, Ginny L. Grimes (Phil) of King George and Cathy Breeden (Ray) of Manassas; her grandchildren, Laura Kneece (Kyle), Thomas “Gip” Breeden (Allyson) and Sara Leann Breeden; and six great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8 at Fairfax Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the King George County Volunteer Department of Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services, 8122 Kings Highway, King George VA 22485 or the Fairview Beach Residents Association Erosion Project, Box 183, King George VA 22485.Online guest book at covenantfun...
Monday, September 26, 2016Ginny was caring, loving, had a good sense of humor and she truly cherished the friendships she had.Survivors include her children, Steve (Marsha) of Annandale, Tami (Gary) Toenjes of Annandale, Shari (Chuck) Ahrens of Centerville and Brian of St. Cloud; daughter in law, Wendy (Keith) Goenner of Clear Lake; brother in law Keith (Sandy) Slater of Arizona; eleven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband John in 2016; son, Mark in 1986; infant daughter, Patricia; infant son, Paul; great grandson Xaine; and sister, Sherri Slater.

Bly, 91, of Annandale, Va., formerly of El Dorado, passed away in Tampa, Fla. on July 10, 2016.Bly was the beloved wife of the late Wiley D. Bly; mother of Darius Bly and Denise Crawford and grandmother of three.She was preceded in death by parents, John Lees and Jeppie Brasier; siblings, Tommy Lees, Johnny Lees, Vertie Harp and Elise Kelly.Martha was a devoted wife, mother and business partner to her beloved husband Wiley. Martha came to the D.C. area directly after high school from El Dorado where she met Wiley while on leave from the army in World War II. They married in Union County then started a life together in Annandale.Friends are welcome at Demaine Funeral Home of Springfield, Va. at 10 a.m. until noon on July 25. A graveside service will follow at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va.
