Monday, February 20, 2017Vaden Rador William January 31, 2017 Rador William Vaden, 80, of Blacksburg entered into his eternal home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, January 31, 2017 completing his journey here. He is preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Minnie Vaden, mother and father in-Law, Ira and Oretha Smith, four brothers Marshall, Marvin, Lewis, and Alfred, and one sister Annabelle. Left to cherish his memory are wife, Jan Vaden; daughter, Debbie (Phillip) Hassell; son, Dan (Robyn) Vaden and Greg (Melissa) Vaden; five grandchildren: Dustin Hassell, Danielle Lockwood, Molly Hassell, Taylor Vaden and Emily Vaden; sisters, Edna, Fay, Gay and Barbara Ann; brothers, Clarence, Randolph, and Lonnie; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Monday, December 19, 2016Arnold Lee Shelor, age 87, of Blacksburg died, Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at his home. He was born in Blacksburg on July 20, 1929 to the late Charlie R. and Lucy Bolt Shelor. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Geraldine Shelor. He served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Blacksburg First Church of God and retired from Federal Mogul with 33 years of service.He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Janie and Mike Rasnake, Christiansburg, Connie Shelor, Blacksburg, son, Roger Shelor, Blacksburg, brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Betty Shelor, Blacksburg, grandchild, Angel Fridley and husband, Chris, Christiansburg, great-grandchild, Karsyn Lane Fridley, numerous nieces and nephews.Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11:00 am in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor David Ansley officiating.
