Monday, June 19, 2017Ken J Heeter, 80, of Bel Air, passed away on May 30, at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air.Born in Michigan City, Indiana, on July 1, 1936, the middle son of DeLacy J. and Anna (Yoder) Heeter. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, friend, neighbor and coworker. A very compassionate person to others, he was known as the Dick Clark of Upper Chesapeake Hospital, where he worked in Imaging Services for over 40 years. Earlier in his career, he also worked in imaging at St. Agnes and for the Health Department. He enjoyed genealogy and had traced his family back for ten generations. He was known as a great storyteller and a talented artist, also known for his Christmas Cards which he would send out with his artwork.Mr. Heeter is survived by his wife of 55 years, Agnes Anne Heeter; children, Anthony W. Monday, May 01, 2017WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. — Ryan Fladhammer, 21, of Wisconsin Dells and active duty member of the U.S. Navy, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 16, 2017, at his residence in Chesapeake, Va.Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 24, at the Conway-Picha Funeral Home in Lyndon Station, Wis., with Pastor Rick Engen officiating. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.Ryan was born Nov. 5, 1995, in La Crosse. He attended high school in Wisconsin Dells, and following graduation, to satisfy his ambition to serve his country, he enlisted into the U.S. Navy and was stationed in Virginia, attaining the rank of HT3/E4. His primary duties were hull maintenance technician, where he was able to apply his abilities and talents as a fabricator and welder on-board ship. While in high school, Ryan had worked for two years as a lifeguard at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, had a love and interest in cars and trucks, and enjoyed playing guitar. Sean was raised in Calvert County and graduated from Huntingtown High in 2012. He was employed as a pipefitter with local Union #669.Sean was a compassionate person who loved everyone and all animals. He was always smiling and would make bad time better for family and friends. Saturday, April 08, 2017Charles Raymond Hinkle; mother, Leah Beall Hinkle; sister, Celestine Rhind Hinkle; brother-in-law, Charles William Rhind; along with his two furry friends, “Duke”, his Weimeraner, and “Count”, his Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Left to cherish his memory is his loving and supportive wife of 63 years, Lois Heishman Hinkle. He is a native of Cumberland, Maryland and a graduate of Alleghany High School where he was well-known as “Buckshot”. As a young man, he worked with his father as a carpenter, which later established his hobby in designing beautiful objects of wood. John served in the U.S. Army during the police action in Korea with the 45th Infantry. He obtained his B.S. degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech in 1957 through his G.I. Bill. John worked with Graves Construction; T.C. Britton; Creative Construction; and J.H. Fralin & Son in the Roanoke area as well as various parts of North Carolina and Virginia. He built several tower installations for the C & P Telephone Company, as well as schools and business buildings in and around the Roanoke area. Monday, March 27, 2017One of his greatest joys was meeting a Chelsea pensioner who, as a World World II POW, helped build the bridge over the River Kwai.He built a home on the Chesapeake Bay and delighted in sharing nature and his “toys” with his closest family and friends. Some of his favorite toys included his extraordinary collection of woodworking equipment and tools.He is survived by his wife, Doris E. Lehman; daughter, Kristen Motz and husband, Dr. Brian Motz, of Middletown, Md.; son, Matthew Cochran and friend, Isabel Enes, of Washington, D.C.; stepdaughter, Nicole Lehman Muther and husband, Erik, and their sons, Simon and Tobias of Media, Pa.; sister, Susan Cochran Leh and husband, Lonny, and their daughters of Leesport, Pa.; and brother, Robert S. Cochran and wife, Suzy, and their children of Hagerstown.
