John "Charlie" CharlesTemple, 73, of Crozet and previously of Staunton, passed away at his residence on Saturday, March 25, 2017, after a long battle with cancer. Born July 27, 1943, in Darby, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late John Carlisle Temple Jr. and Ethelyn (Pierce) Temple. Charlie graduated from Wilson Memorial H.S., Woodrow Wilson Vo. Tech School, and Richmond Professional Institute (VCU). He was employed by General Electric Co. / G.E. Fanuc and retired after 37 years of service. His career with GE covered locations in Waynesboro, Richmond, and Charlottesville. Charlie followed his favorite sports teams which included the Washington Redskins, Washington Nationals, UVA and VCU. His favorite car music was vintage Rock, Motown/R&B. He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Carolyn Jean (Weaver) Temple of Crozet. They shared a blessed union of 51 years together.
