Monday, February 06, 2017Sara Teresa Gaines, 83, of King George County, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017 at her home.Mrs. Gaines was a longtime member of the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department in Fairfax and King George Volunteer Fire Department.Mrs. Gaines loved to knit, sew and crochet. She enjoyed reading books and socializing in the community. Mrs. Gaines was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas A. Gaines, Jr.Survivors include her daughters, Ginny L. Grimes (Phil) of King George and Cathy Breeden (Ray) of Manassas; her grandchildren, Laura Kneece (Kyle), Thomas “Gip” Breeden (Allyson) and Sara Leann Breeden; and six great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 7 at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 8 at Fairfax Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the King George County Volunteer Department of Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services, 8122 Kings Highway, King George VA 22485 or the Fair...
