Jackie Blanchard, age 57, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017.She was born in New Market, Ontario to George and Iris Craven Hounslow. Mrs. Blanchard worked for St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She enjoyed catch and release fishing with the family and threw darts competitively. Mrs. Blanchard loved going to the beach and greeted everyone with a hug and a smile.She is survived by her husband of over 40 years, Michael Blanchard; three sons, Michael T. Blanchard and his wife Chelsea of Murfreesboro, Christopher G. Blanchard of Murfreesboro, and Nicholas R. Two Morristown men who allegedly beat a 69-year-old New Market resident to death in his garage February 25 were indicted Monday.The body of Donald DeWayne Dunham of 947 West Old Andrew Johnson Highway was found by his wife, who walked part of the way home after he failed to come pick her up after work.Grand jurors indicted Gregory Dean-Jeremiah Maner, 27, of 3565 Elmwood Drive, and Brandon Paul Phillips, 31, of 4357 Brockland Drive, on charges of first degree murder and especially aggravated robbery. The two had come to Dunham’s home seeking his medications, Sheriff Bud McCoig said.Five days later, investigators located a claw hammer they believe was used in the attack. The hammer, which belonged to the victim, was found on the side of Old Andrew Johnson Highway one-half to three-quarters of a mile from the victim’s residence. On the same day, the victim’s cell phone was found tossed on the side of nearby Highway 11E.Bail for Maner and Phillips was set at $1.5 million each. Both remain in jail. She was a member of Palmerdale First Baptist and retired from St. Vincent’s Family Practice after 40 years of service.She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy A. Sisk and Lorene F. Sisk, and her sister, Maoma Sisk Massie. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles C. Tanner, Sr.; sons, Chuck Tanner (Donna) and Steven Tanner (Kerri); brother, David M. Sisk; grandchildren, Sterling A. Tanner, Luke Tanner, Kate Tanner and Brecker Tanner.The funeral service for Mrs. Tanner will be held on Wednesday, August 3rd at 12:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with visitation held two hours prior.
