She attended Big Creek High School and then nursing school in Richlands, VA.She was united in marriage to David Richard Murphy on June 13, 1964. She worked as a nurse at Grafton City Hospital and Rosewood Nursing Home until her retirement in 1994.She loved cooking, traveling, WVU sports, playing cards with her friends, and spending time with her family.She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Grafton and attended the First United Methodist Church in Bradenton.In addition to her husband, Carol is survived by her children, David Jr., Conway, AR; Kevin (Teresa), Rockwood, TN; and Deborah, Ellicott City, MD; and her grandchildren, Rachel, Joseph, Ian, Storm, and Bryce.She is also survived by her sister, Lois (Albert) Sheets, Bishop, VA; brother, Jim Brooks, VA Beach, VA; mother-in-law, Nancy Murphy, Charleston, WV; brothers-in-law, Mike (Sharon) Murphy, Oak Ridge, NC; Jon (Debi) Murphy, Gilbert, AZ; Mark Murphy, Charleston, WV; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Wayne Brooks, her father-in-law, Joseph Paul Murphy, brother-in-law, J.
