Monday, October 17, 2016He began a career operating movie theatres in 1977 and supervised five. He and Jan bought Davidson Theatres, Inc. in 1984 and operated the Millwald Theatre in Wytheville until 2006. Richard then became an excellent theatre consultant and enjoyed that work. He loved the youth group at our church, organ music and animals, especially cats and dogs. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Lewis Gale Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Christ Lutheran Church, Roanoke. Pastors David Skole and Cindy Keyser will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at John M. Oakey & Son, Salem. Monday, July 25, 2016Tucker, brother Earlie Tucker and sister Nancy McBride.Helen is survived by four daughters, Shirley (Douglas) Lawrence of Martinsville, VA; Marie (Marshall) Knox of Roanoke, VA; Bonnie Mitchell of Wytheville, VA and Linda (Malcolm) Johnson of Rocky Mount, VA; four sisters, Blanche Riggs of Martinsville, VA; Shelvy Hodges of Bassett, VA; Seretha Tucker of Martinsville, VA and Ruby Cagle of Graham, NC; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.Services will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Butch Dillinger officiating. Following the service, interment will be held at Roselawn Burial Park.In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Mt.
